Trunk of Lada Largus - volume, size in cm and liters for 5 and 7 seats, cargo van

Trunk size Lada Largus station wagon 5 and 7 seats, van, Cross

Whatever the size of the Lada Largus trunk, it will never be enough. Of course, if you are buying a car solely for transporting yourself and infrequent trips to the country, then you are unlikely to say that the luggage compartment in Largus is small. However, those who take this station wagon for work will never say that the trunk of the Lada Largus is large and there is a lot of space in it. After all, there is never too much working volume.

As you already know, LADA Largus is available in three modifications:

— Passenger station wagon R90. — A station wagon with increased capacity (the so-called 7-seater station wagon). — F90 cargo van.

All these modifications are tailored to suit your needs and have different luggage compartment volumes. Let's start with the R90 passenger station wagon.

Advantages and disadvantages

To make the right decision, you need to study not only the advantages, but also the disadvantages of the model. The owners, who have extensive experience in operating Largus, found one drawback. The car manufacturer did not adjust the interior of the station wagons in such a way that their owners would have the opportunity to transport large loads. If the driver nevertheless decided to load a large object into his car, then the cargo often caused damage to the interior.

Otherwise, Lada Largus owners are satisfied with everything in their cars. Among the advantages of a Russian car are the following:

  • ease of loading;
  • optimal dimensions;
  • the ability to increase trunk capacity by removing the seats;
  • high load capacity;
  • possibility of modernization.

Drivers universally note the practicality and convenience of the LADA Largus trunk. Its size is quite enough to demonstrate the functionality of a domestic car, which allowed it to become a leader among its closest competitors. The manufacturer managed to competently and rationally approach the arrangement of the body space, which allows Largus to successfully transport large objects and indicates the enviable carrying capacity of the model.

Trunk capacity Lada Largus 7 seats

The trunk volume of the Lada Largus 7 seats is very, very modest - only 135 liters. This is due to the fact that the car has been adapted for greater passenger capacity. However, if you fold the third row of seats, you can easily increase the luggage compartment volume of a seven-seater station wagon to approximately 500-560 liters. The figure is not entirely accurate, since we take into account the trunk volume of the five-seater version of the station wagon, which is 560 liters. But useful space will still be occupied by folded seats. 560 liters will be if the third row of seats is removed and removed from the car.

If you fold down the second row of seats, then the trunk volume of the Lada Largus for 7 seats will be a decent 2350 liters.

Capacity

Built on the basis of the first-generation Renault Logan, the station wagon formally belongs to the B-class.
But you can't tell by the dimensions. Some people also consider the Lada Vesta SW to be an overgrowth of the B segment, but meanwhile the Largus is 60 mm longer than the Vesta and by as much as 270 mm in wheelbase! It’s clear now how, with more than enough space in the second row of seats in the car, there was also room for a trunk of record volume. With a five-seat cabin configuration, it holds 560 liters, with a two-seat configuration - 2350 liters. Even when seven people are sitting in the cabin, there will be 135 liters left for their luggage. Not much, but still a very decent indicator. Moreover, Largus is not limited to an ordinary trunk. Thanks to the high ceiling above the second row of seats, the designers added a spacious shelf. She is also ready to accept some things. Let's not forget that the package includes roof rails. This means that cargo can also be placed on the top trunk.

Luggage compartment volume Lada Largus Van

The Lada Largus Van has the most impressive figures - its trunk volume is 2540 liters. This car is in great demand among commercial organizations, so special attention was paid to the trunk volume when designing this car.

There is another version of the Lada Largus station wagon - a CNG gas fuel version with a trunk volume of 2225 liters. This is slightly smaller than a regular van due to the gas cylinder placed inside.

About the main characteristics of the trunk

Today, Lada Largus is produced in three body versions:

  • basic five-seat station wagon;
  • a station wagon with more capacity with seven seats;
  • van (two seats: passenger and driver).

For each of these options, the amount of space in the luggage compartment has its own characteristics. It is not surprising that the van has the largest trunk volume. This is due to the lack of a rear seat row (or two), as well as the elongated body and has 5 seats. Official data indicates the amount of usable space in this body version is approximately 2500 liters. This modification of the Lada Largus does not have any additional components or components inside the body, since the primary purpose of the van is to transport large cargo.

In a standard station wagon, which has only five seats, the amount of space in the luggage section is significantly less and is equal to 700 liters. If there is a need to transport large loads, then the owner has the opportunity to dismantle the rear row of seats, and therefore the size of the trunk for luggage increases to 1600-1800 volume in liters.

The seven-seater version (minivan) has the most “modest” trunk. Here the capacity does not “shine”, because 200 liters, exactly the volume of the trunk, is not enough for a “substantial” load. Here the manufacturer met his loyal client halfway and endowed this modification with a simple secret, namely: increasing the trunk to the same 1600-1800 volume in liters is also possible by performing an identical operation to dismantle the stern seats. Here you will need to remove two planting rows.

To be fair, we note that a station wagon is not intended for the systematic transportation of large items, since the body for such purposes must have large geometric parameters. Here, the need for endless dismantling of the rear seats contributes to the inconvenience, although the removal procedure itself is quite simple.

Important! The modification of the Lada Largus van is purposefully equipped with a reinforced suspension, because, as already noted, this particular vehicle among the three Largus is designed for transporting large luggage, with an impressive trunk size. Station wagons cannot boast of this useful option.

Trunk size of universal modifications. Here are some parameters:

  • the opening is 920 mm in height and 980 mm in width;
  • the height inside the compartment from the bottom to the ceiling plate is 870-930 mm for station wagons and approximately 1000 mm for the van version;
  • the width of the internal space of the compartment reached 1000 mm when measured along the plane of the arches, and 1450 mm when measured at the level of human shoulders;
  • the length of the section from the opening itself to the backs of the third seating row is 480 mm, and if it is a five-seat version, then 1570 mm (up to the 2nd row);
  • If we consider a van, then the length from the edges of the doors to the dividing partition is approximately 1800 mm.

From here we can generate the conclusion that the trunk of the Lada Largus in terms of trunk volume is a very worthy “rival”.

Trunk dimensions of Lada Largus station wagon and Cross

To estimate the actual dimensions of the trunk of the Lada Largus station wagon, we will take measurements using a regular tape measure and transfer everything to the diagram. We will use a regular photograph and a graphic editor as a diagram. In this case, we will not get 100% accurate measurements, but they will be as close to reality as possible. Here is a photo of the trunk of a Lada Largus station wagon with specific dimensions:

  • The height from the floor to the bottom point of the ceiling is 905 mm.
  • The length of the trunk from the lock to the rear row of seats is 1199 mm.
  • The height of the trunk to the shelf is 477 mm.
  • The length of the trunk with the second row of seats folded is 1700 mm.
  • Trunk width 1000 mm.

The Cross version has the same luggage compartment volume.

EXTENDED TRUNK

The lack of side supports was depressing. Since the farm had profiles 2 m long, I decided to use them for this, at the same time lengthening the trunk itself. I attached the profiles with clamps to the crossbars and drilled vertical holes for fastening right in the assembly. I screwed another 1 m long crossbar to the front and rear ends of the profiles.

In the fall, I unscrew all the bolts, remove the trunk parts and leave them in the garage until spring. To avoid confusion, I wrote the numbers of the crossbars in pencil. If you plan to transport a light, long load, you can put a couple of crossbars in the trunk. I collect everything in the spring. It turned out that some of the crossbars were installed tightly. This is due to the fact that the assembly took place locally. One day I laid all the removed crossbars side by side and checked the dimensions. I was surprised to find that the rails are strictly parallel. I was able to take measurements and make a sketch.

Dimensions of the trunk of the Lada Largus cargo van in cm

We will do the same with the van version. We find the corresponding photo and look:

  • The height from the floor to the bottom point of the ceiling is 92 cm.
  • The length of the trunk from the lock to the partition is 194 cm.
  • The trunk width is 96 cm.
  • The width of the doorway is 108 cm.
  • Trunk diagonal – 128 cm.

Cross

The smallest trunk size is in the Largus minivan, designed for 7 seats. The Largus Cross trunk reaches a volume of 200 liters. The manufacturer helped car owners by allowing them to increase the volume of the luggage compartment in liters to 1600–1800, for which two rows of seats should be removed.

The seven-seater version (minivan) has the most “modest” luggage compartment. But the manufacturer met his loyal customer halfway and endowed this modification with a simple secret: it is also possible to increase the luggage space to the same 1600–1800 liters by performing an identical operation to dismantle the stern seats. To do this, you will need to remove two planting rows.

Of course, neither a station wagon nor a minivan are designed to transport large loads, but if necessary, they will cope with this task perfectly.

Trunk Lada Largus photo

What is included in the trunk of a Lada Largus van?

The trunk of a station wagon and a Lada Largus van have approximately the same figures. The difference is that the back row of seats was removed from the van and an all-metal partition was installed. The van's pillar cups were also strengthened to allow the vehicle to carry heavier loads.

Thus, the trunk was designed so that a Euro pallet measuring 80x120 cm could easily fit into it.
