Injectors

If the motor is running, but liquid is not supplied through the nozzles, then the problem will not be difficult to identify, since there are only a few reasons for this phenomenon:

• clogged injector fittings;

The malfunction can be determined by inspecting the tubes from the motor to the injectors. If there are no areas with kinks and the tube has not fallen off, then the reason lies in clogged nozzles, which can be cleaned with a sewing needle and blown out with a compressor.

The integrity of the fuse is checked in the same way as for windshield wipers. The same protective element as for the wipers is responsible for the operation of the washer. In addition to the fuse, sometimes the track in the mounting block through which power is supplied to the washer burns out. In this case, you need to disassemble the fuse box and restore the current-carrying element by soldering, having first cleared the varnish from the track.

You should start checking the steering column switch on a VAZ 2107 if the fuse, motor and the entire electrical circuit through which voltage is supplied to the pump are in good condition. • bend the protective cover, unscrew the fastening nuts;

• place the crank and short rod parallel to each other;
• After that, attach the motor to the trapezoid.

Wiper relay not working

If the wipers fail to operate in intermittent mode, it can be argued that the relay has failed. First you need to check the power supply to the relay block. To do this, you need to remove the relay, turn on the wipers in intermittent mode, and check the voltage at the terminals. If no current flows, you need to repair the open circuit or replace the switch. The design of the relay is such that it cannot be repaired. So, if it does not work under voltage, you need to replace the part with a new one.

Wiper switch

To check the voltage supply to the switch, you need to remove the pads from the steering control or on the relay connection blocks. There is always voltage on the black-yellow wire. Check on the red and gray wires. If there is no voltage on one of them, then you need to change the switch.

Causes of fuse blown.

If the wipers do not work in two positions of the switch, then most likely the fuse has blown, which serves to protect the circuit from short circuits and overloads. When the wiper control lever is set to the "off" position and the blades do not stop at the bottom of the glass or anywhere else, the problem is in the gearbox. It is there that a special switch is installed, which ensures that after turning off the brushes remain in the desired position.

Due to heavy overload of the electric motor, overheating of the wiring, or exposure to water, the fuse may blow. Replacing it is easy, but the cause of the burnout must be found out and eliminated.

We tear off the petal soldered to the body (there may be a wire instead) and insulate it. We take out the wiring from the detachable terminal, there are only 5 wires. We bite off one of the yellow ones, it will not be needed. We strip the gray wire that goes to the capacitor, screw the yellow one to it, cut it off from the male wire, and isolate the connection. We remove the old block, insert 4 wires, starting from the top clockwise (the protrusion on the block is on the right). 1 – gray, 2 – blue, 3 – white, 4 – black.

The rear window of station wagon and hatchback bodies gets very dirty, which is why the VAZ 2111 and 2112 have a rear wiper installed. If everything is in order with the electrical equipment, we replace the electric drive. We remove the trunk lid trim: unscrew the screws and unclip the pistons. We unscrew the nut that secures the leash and remove it. We push two pistons from the inside and pull them out using pliers. We pry up the cover with a screwdriver, remove it and the protective cap. We unscrew one nut with a 24 wrench, two more with a 10 wrench. Disconnect the connector and remove the gearmotor.

Removing the windshield wiper motor

To repair the windshield wiper motor, it must be removed. To perform this operation, you will need a 10 and 22 open-end or socket wrench. All actions are performed in the following algorithm:

• unscrew the wiper fastening nuts using a 10mm wrench;

  

• windshield wipers are dismantled;
• unscrew the fastenings of the wiper brackets with a 22mm wrench and remove the plastic inserts;
• rubber seals are removed from the engine compartment;
• the power terminals are disconnected;
• wires are removed from the holes in the body;
• the casing on the motor unfolds;

  

• unscrew the fastening nuts using a 10mm wrench;
• the gearbox is removed together with the brackets;
• the trapezoid fastening nuts are unscrewed;
• The windshield wiper motor is removed.

Upon completion of the windshield wiper repair, all procedures are performed in reverse order.

How to change wipers on a VAZ 2107

Replacing wipers yourself usually does not cause any problems. In order to solve the problem, you need to carefully study the fasteners that are used to fix the frames. Motor

The motor consists of a stator with permanent magnets and an armature with an elongated shaft, at the end of which a screw is threaded. On classic Zhiguli cars, the windshield wiper has two operating modes - fast and intermittent with an interval of 4-6 seconds. It is to ensure intermittent operation that the RS 514 breaker relay is designed. Delayed activation of the wipers is used during light rain, when too frequent operation of the windshield wipers is not required, and when the mechanism is completely turned off, the glass is gradually covered with small drops of precipitation and needs to be cleaned. The product is connected to the general wiring using a four-pin connector. On the VAZ 2107, the breaker relay is located on the driver’s side on the left side panel under the plastic trim.

Almost all passenger cars use two windshield wiper blades. On the “seven”, elements with a length of 33 cm are installed from the factory. In theory, if you have certain knowledge, you can try to restore it by identifying the failed element and replacing it. But if you need to fix your car urgently, the easiest way is to replace the device with a new one. This is very easy to do:

• Remove the negative terminal from the battery, de-energizing the entire on-board network of the vehicle.
• Unscrew 2 screws.
• Take out the plug, put it on the new device and screw it into place.

How does the wiper relay work?

The operation of the windshield wiper involves a chain of elements, which includes an electric motor, a fuse, a power button and a relay. The latter performs the most important function, managing the entire process. It functions as follows:

• When you press the power button, power is supplied to the relay, the contacts inside close, the coil turns on and the wiper gear motor starts working.
• Over the next 3 seconds, the bimetallic plate inside the device heats up, and the power from the electric motor of the VAZ 2107 windshield wipers is lost.
• After this, the panel cools down quickly enough and the wipers start working again.
• If the delayed operation mode is turned on, the main resistor distributes the electromotive force so that the delay necessary for the cyclic operation of the wiper is formed.

Hi all! Last fall, a dilemma arose about which wipers were best to take for the winter to replace worn-out frameless ones.

The frameless ones lasted for about six months and began to smear, in the summer it was still ok, but in the off-season they were no longer good, especially in the winter - they dulled and didn’t really press down. I decided to take good frame ones, since since the purchase of the car there had been Champions on it, which had been running smoothly for more than a year, so I ordered them from another company, Airline, but 2 times cheaper.

Both are quite well made; Champion, however, will have a more massive frame.

Both press well, there is no such thing as a protruding tip on the frameless ones, however, the length is only 36 cm, but, for me, this is optimal for the “classics”.

Frameless ones are pretty good on flat glass. They are not suitable for Zhigilev type glass.

They also usually have a plastic rim above the elastic band. Poor removal of ice. And frame ones without unnecessary protrusions.

I break the ice with the windshield wiper hitting the glass, but I don’t clean it off with my hands.

And if the glass is heated, it’s even dangerous.
