Over the 8 years of production of Largus and the appearance of such modifications as MCV, VIP and Cross, the size of the wheels of this car has remained unchanged.
Wheel sizes for Lada Vesta
Three years after the first production Largus rolled off the assembly line, a new family sedan Lada Vesta appeared, which stood out for its increased level of comfort and the presence of options that could previously only be seen in foreign cars.
As for the wheels, their size is also purely new, except that to the 15 and 16 radii, depending on the modifications, another 17 and 18 are added (Lada Vesta SV cross).

Tire size | About tire and wheel compatibility If you decide to replace the standard wheels and tires on a Lada Vesta, then rely on the full diameter of the wheel. How to do this, using 185/60 R14 as an example:
In order not to perform such calculations, we post a table of compatibility of tires and wheels for Lada Vesta (left for 195/55 R16, right for 185/65 R15): Green indicates the minimum deviation of the wheel diameter (up to 3 mm); Orange indicates a diameter deviation from 3 to 6 mm. Based on the tire sizes selected for Vesta, we determine which wheels are suitable for the rim width: When installing tires or wheels that differ in parameters from those recommended by the factory, you can:

These tires will create more pressure on the road surface and improve traction. Remember that wide tires are more sensitive to ruts in winter. And low-profile tires make the ride less comfortable, because... transfer even the smallest holes to the body.
The smaller the unsprung masses
(this includes a lot of tires and wheels), the better the car will hold the road and accelerate faster. For example, if you put wheels on a car that are 2 kg lighter each, then acceleration to 100 km/h will be reduced by 0.2 seconds.

Attention! Installing larger wheels may lead to problems with ABS and ESP calibration (the systems may not work correctly).
What wheels and tires did you choose for the Lada Vesta? What are the pros and cons of such a replacement? Participate in the survey, leave feedback and ask questions. Let us remind you that in this article we determine the real fuel consumption of this car.
No matter how stylish and modern you dress, if you are wearing untidy and unfashionable shoes, you will not have a good image. It’s the same with cars: only here the most noticeable part of the “wardrobe” is the wheels. Other car owners choose them as scrupulously as ladies choose jewelry, and we will try to help them in this matter.
In particular, we will consider which wheels on the Lada of various modifications are provided by the factory, and which models can be chosen so that they make the exterior of the car stylish.
Alloy wheels
Popular alloy wheels on the Lada Vesta are distinguished by a wide selection of designs and diameters. They are made from a special alloy. In addition to the base metal aluminum, the alloy contains magnesium, strontium and titanium additives. The casting process occurs under high pressure, which promotes rapid hardening of the workpiece. Using computer modeling and milling, the part receives its final shape.
Alloy wheels
The multi-level manufacturing process of alloy wheels explains their high cost. They are lighter in weight, but have less resistance to mechanical damage.
Models and sizes
The new generation frets, the production of which was launched in the second decade of this century, have, in fact, nothing in common with those machines that were produced earlier.
The decisive role in such large-scale changes was played by the fact that since 2008, the once purely Russian enterprise AvtoVAZ became half owned by the Franco-Japanese Renault-Nissan alliance, which has now also been joined by Mitsubishi.
This affected not only the appearance of the cars produced, but also their wheels, the sizes of which began to differ radically from post-Soviet Zhiguli cars.
Wheels for Lada Largus
In 2011, at the Interauto exhibition, the Largus station wagon was demonstrated, the official premiere of which took place the following year, 2012, at the Moscow Motor Show.
In fact, this car is a copy of the Renault Logan Van 2006, somewhat adapted to Russian operational realities, and replaced the Renault emblem with the AvtoVAZ one.
First of all, the size of the Lada Largus wheels changed: instead of the usual Zhiguli bolt pattern 4*98, 4*100 appeared, and the size of the hub also changed from the traditional 58.6 to the foreign-made 60.1.
Which discs are better?
Class B and C cars often leave the factory on stamped wheels - at least in the basic configuration. They are cheaper, and the manufacturer, naturally, saves money - after all, on the scale of serial production, the difference in the finances spent on wheels becomes very significant.
However, steel, or as they are commonly called, iron disks, are cheaper not because they are inferior in performance - they are simply manufactured using cheaper technology and covered with paints and materials that are simpler in composition.
As for the mechanical properties of iron, they even have some advantages over casting. In particular, upon impact, the disk does not crack, but only crumples, which makes the product more repairable.
By and large, stampings have only one drawback - they do not look very presentable. To somehow improve it, you need to buy caps, the price of which varies between 400-700 rubles. a piece.
The result is almost the same as installing inexpensive castings, but if you already have steel wheels, then the option with hubcaps, of course, makes more sense.
The design of the alloy wheel and the cap may be the same, and at first glance you won’t even be able to tell what it is
The only problem is that the bolts securing the cap are unscrewed due to vibration, and it can easily get lost. The prospect of running around the shops in search of the same thing appeals to few people (and most often it is not possible to find a replacement at all).
That is why the vast majority of car enthusiasts still prefer alloy wheels. But what kind of choice there is in stores today, we will talk about this further.
Stamped discs
The simplest and cheapest option is stamped steel wheels for the Lada Vesta. They are made by stamping with a mold. External differences in parts depend on the characteristics of the stamp; in accordance with its shape, the product takes on its final appearance. The main advantage of stamping is strength and resistance to external influences: abrasions, impacts, scratches.
R15 steel wheels are provided by the manufacturer when purchasing a car as standard. Recommended tire sizes are 175/70 R15. You can purchase stampings in many service centers and stores by pre-ordering them on the store’s website, where photographs and prices are presented. The retail price in Moscow starts at 1,300 rubles per piece and can reach 2,500 rubles.
When purchasing disks, you should first check whether fasteners are included in the purchase price. Sometimes fasteners need to be purchased separately.
Review of the best alloy wheels on fret
Wheels made by injection molding from light aluminum alloys have many advantages over steel ones. They have a more accurate geometry (they balance much better), and the weight, although not much, is still less. In turn, this affects both the processes of acceleration and braking, and fuel consumption.
When casting first appeared on the wheel market in the 90s, the attitude towards it was more than skeptical. After all, our roads are full of force majeure, and after a disc has flown into a hole and cracked, you can only throw it away.
In order to ensure higher strength, manufacturers began to increase the thickness of the metal. However, at the same time, the mass of the product also increases - just some kind of vicious circle. True, they have now learned to make lightweight wheels.
This is the so-called forging, the properties of which are improved through the use of special stamping technology, originally invented for aircraft landing gear.
It uses a high-strength alloy “AB” - aluminum with five alloying additives, thanks to which the products are lighter and stronger.
Strengthening of the alloy also occurs due to heat treatment, when the blanks are heated in a furnace for several hours at high temperatures, and then, as is usually done with forging, they are quickly dipped into cold water. Shock therapy hardens the metal.
In general, their manufacturing technology differs from both conventional stamping and casting (although they may not be distinguishable from the latter by appearance). It is more complicated and time-consuming, which is why the price of forged wheels is higher.
They are manufactured by some German, Japanese and Italian companies, and there is also one manufacturer in Russia.
We will introduce you to some brands and models in the review below:
Slik L1818
This is exactly the product of the same Russian manufacturer of forged wheels mentioned above. Products made using Forged Wheels technology (hot stamping) are the main ones in the model range of this enterprise.
Togliatti racing drivers were the first to become interested in them, after which the fame that, having damaged or even lost a tire, it is quite possible to drive to a tire shop on a forged wheel, reached ordinary car enthusiasts.
Actually, the founders of this company are former AvtoVAZ rally drivers.
The first wheels were very simple in design, and the coatings were only black and white. Today, the range of models has expanded enormously, and there are quite a lot of coating options.
ENKEI SM88
A product of the Japanese company Enshu Keigokin, which was one of the first to switch to hot stamping technology. This is a recognized leader with a worldwide reputation, whose activities have been carried out since 1950 and are not limited only to Asian countries.
Forged wheels under the ENKEI brand are produced on 4 continents and sold in many countries around the world. They are also the wheels of the first configuration of luxury cars from General Motors and almost all Japanese automobile companies.
And, of course, the well-known Formula 1 rally cannot do without them.
SCAD Sochi
And this is a disk made using casting technology produced by the Krasnoyarsk SKAD plant. The model with five pairs of petal-forming forks is offered in two color options - selenium and diamond (black with polishing). It is the second option that is presented in the photo.
KIK Monterrey
This model is from another Russian manufacturer (also from Krasnoyarsk), has a very interesting design and a popular “dark platinum” paint option. These wheels will look perfect on a Grant or Vesta.
ALCASTA M27
For a long time now, no one has been surprised by the dominance of Chinese goods on Russian markets. But if things don’t work out very well for us with light industry products, and the disgusting quality of counterfeit goods only irritates our citizens, then in the case of car wheels, it’s just the opposite.
The Chinese not only develop their own, but also copy the models of all the world's more or less famous manufacturers, producing products of acceptable quality for not too much money. An example of this is the ALCASTA brand model.
Nitro Y-252
You can hardly find a cheaper casting than Nitro. This information is for those for whom price is the main selection criterion. Models under this brand do not have a very diverse and rich palette of colors, but they have quite a decent design.
They will be a budget option for the Lada; in any case, it is better than an iron disc with a cap.
Yokatta Model-21
Japanese wheels, like Japanese cars, always meet the quality standard defined by the manufacturer. Even when new brands appear, somewhat pushing the well-known and familiar ones into the background, the quality of the products still remains excellent.
If 10 years ago Japan was represented everywhere by YAMATO and KOSEI alloy wheels, today cheaper models with interesting designs and a wide range of combined coatings under the Yokatta brand are taking the leading positions.
The low-pressure casting technology used by this manufacturer has significantly reduced the weight of the discs and increased their service life.
YST X-10 SF
Chinese companies producing car wheels try to keep up with the world's leading companies in terms of design, but at the same time use standard casting technologies. It is due to this that the very balance of quality and price that every buyer dreams of is achieved.
Many people generally do not want to pay more for new technologies; they are quite satisfied with traditional ones. And really: if you have a sedan or crossover that doesn’t race or roam off-road, why do you need super-strong wheels? It's enough to just drive carefully.
MAK Zenith
It also happens that the owner strives to install premium wheels even on a small budget car. And that's his right. Moreover, the updated Ladas, which cost 700-1000 thousand rubles, can only be called cheap with a stretch.
In this case, we would like to draw your attention to wheels of Italian origin MAK, the “pedigree” of which is immediately revealed by their high cost. It consists of a combination of unique designs, durable powder and glossy coatings, and new technologies that improve the performance characteristics of wheels.
Of course, this is not a complete list of manufacturers whose products you can pay close attention to when choosing. But even in this small list there are such models, looking at which your friends and neighbors in the garage will simply be overcome by black envy.
